Class policies

These apply to every online conversation and group block booked through this site. You accept them when you reserve, and they're repeated in your confirmation email.

The short version

Reserving is risk-free

If a group is cancelled because it doesn't fill, you're refunded in full.

Cancel 7+ days out: full refund

Closer than that, you get account credit for the full amount instead.

Credit lasts 12 months

Good for any conversation or group block. It's applied automatically next time you book.

How blocks work

Classes are sold as blocks: 4 weekly classes for conversation, 8 weekly classes for group classes. Each class is 75 minutes, live on Zoom.
Blocks run on fixed dates, back to back. Reservations for the next block open the day the current one begins.
Reservations close 48 hours before the first class.
A block runs once it reaches its minimum — 4 students for conversation, 5 for group classes. If the minimum isn't reached by the 48-hour cutoff, Andrea decides whether to run the block with the students who have signed up or cancel it. A cancelled block is refunded in full to everyone, with an invitation to the next block.
You can't join a block that has already started; you'll see the next start date instead.

Cancellations & refunds

If you cancel…	You get…
7 or more days before the first class	A full refund to your card.
Less than 7 days before the first class	Account credit for the full amount, applied automatically the next time you book.
After the block has started	Prorated account credit for the classes not yet held.
You miss a class	No refund, credit, or make-up for that class.

Credit is tied to your email, can be used for any online conversation or group block, and expires 12 months after it's issued. There's a cancel link in your confirmation email — no need to contact anyone.

If the teacher cancels

A single cancelled class is added to the end of the block, and everyone is emailed the new date.
If a whole block is cancelled after it starts, you're refunded to your card for the classes not held.

Privacy & cookies

Your name and email are used to run your classes: confirmations, reminders, schedule changes and refunds. They're never sold or shared for marketing.
Payments are handled by Stripe on its own secure page. This site never sees or stores your card number.
This site uses the Google Ads tag to measure whether our ads lead to reservations. It sets advertising cookies from Google in your browser and, after a reservation, reports that one happened and the amount paid, never your name or email. You can turn off ad personalization at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser; the site works the same either way.
