How it works

  1. Reserve your spot

Pick a block above and pay $280 for all eight classes. That's it — you're in.

  2. The group launches at 5

Every block needs 5 students to run (max 12). If it's cancelled for low numbers at the 48-hour cutoff, you get a full refund. No risk to reserving early.

  3. Meet weekly on Zoom

Eight 75-minute classes on fixed dates, with structured materials, conversation every week, and cultural insights along the way.

Andrea Pasquel

Meet your teacher

Andrea is a native Spanish speaker from Quito, Ecuador, certified in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. She teaches adults online, across Southwest Washington and at Clark College. Her group classes are small on purpose: everyone speaks in every class.

"I am 68 years old and have not been in any kind of learning situation in 40 years. In 5 months I knew no Spanish at all and now I can communicate in Spanish and read and pronounce it quite well. I would have never believed it."

— Steve Juliano, started from zero

What students say

"In 5 months I knew no Spanish at all and now I can communicate in Spanish and read and pronounce it quite well. I would have never believed it."

Steve Juliano · Adult student, 68, started from zero

"I took Spanish I, II, and III in the public school system here and I've learned so much more contemporary Spanish than I did in those 4 years. Andrea will get you speaking like a native."

Marcaus Cruz · Adult student

"I interact with native Spanish speakers regularly at work and have already seen remarkable gains. Now I am much more confident when conversing with others in Spanish."

Jaime Wilson-Chiru · Advanced learner

Common questions

Do I need any Spanish to join the Beginner block?

No. Beginner starts from zero. If you know a few words that's fine too, but nothing is assumed.

What happens if the group doesn't reach 5 students?

Andrea decides at the 48-hour cutoff whether to run it with the students who have signed up. If the block is cancelled, everyone is refunded in full. Reserving early carries no risk.

Can I join from outside Washington?

Yes. Group classes are live on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere in the US. Class times are listed in Pacific time.

Do I need a textbook?

Nothing to buy before you start. Structured materials are included and shared in class.

What if I miss a class?

There's no make-up or refund for a single missed class. If you cancel 7 or more days before the block starts you get a full refund; closer than that you get account credit, good for 12 months on any block.

How is this different from the conversation classes?

Group classes follow an 8-week curriculum with vocabulary, grammar and conversation each week. Conversation classes are 4-week blocks of guided talking with no homework, for people who already know some Spanish.
